About Forthroots
At ForthRoots, we are committed to providing solutions to target problematic areas of sports turf and supporting greenkeepers and groundcare teams with machinery, equipment and know-how to improve sports turf surfaces in-house.
ForthRoots aims to promote sustainable working practises in sports turf drainage by focussing on targeting problem areas. We can provide the tools and techniques to improve the condition of hotspots – tests prove that utilising the ForthRoots FR1 trencher to enhance drainage leads to visibly drier, firmer surfaces.

Dr. Christian Spring (STRI) says:
"During conditions of surface runoff, the installation of a 1” gravel filled localised intercept drain resulted in a significantly firmer playing surface, in comparison to an area where no intercept drain was installed."
A Problem We've Solved
Existing drainage failing due to slow water movement caused by the distance from problem area to main drain.
Solution: Use ForthRoots FR1 4" blade to install drainage pipe or capillary flow drainage materials, providing secondary drainage which can be linked to main drains.
